My Review:

This book highlights the precarious situations women in Regency England face. They must marry and even if widowed it is considered improper if she is young not to return to her family. This book details the experience of a woman who wants to live her life on her terms and finds herself drawing together a group of like-minded women.

I found this book to be repetitive. Both Sylvia and Clayton keep going round in circles with their arguments as to why they can’t be together and overall this book didn’t stand out from the crowd. It’s an okay read but not one that is memorable.
