Kelley has some deep trauma in her past and having relocated she has a heavy burden of work and college to balance. The last thing she expected was to find her best friend in bed with her boyfriend.
Meeting Mac she finds herself impulsively agreeing to go away with him to Reno for the weekend. neither expected after a night of partying to wake up and find themselves married but now they need to sort out how they are going to sort this mess out.
I didn’t expect this book to hold my interest. I thought it would be a light bit of fluff to pass the time. Boy was I wrong. This book is a lot heavier than you would expect with both main characters having some serious issues in their past. These issues are dealt with in a believable, heartfelt way and while it seems a bit of insta-love is at play the romance felt believable and the reader finds themselves rooting for the two to be together despite all the obstacles. I would highly recommend this book to readers who are looking for a compelling romance with damaged heroes helping each other to heal.
I received an arc of this book from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review all thoughts and opinions are my own.
