This is the third instalment in the phenomenal Terra Vane series. Terra is a human clairvoyant working as an enforcer field agent with her shifter partner Kaleb. They have been tasked with securing twelve deadly convicts who escaped from the Portside Prison. With one prisoner now secure and a second partner in the form of her ex-lover, independent vampire Bernard the trio are on the hunt for a raven shifter/ banshee crossbreed who is leaving feathers at a series of murder sites.
They must journey into the Feylands to discover clues to the prisoner’s background and discover what the prisoners ultimately want to achieve. With brewing corruption in the Consilium the government of Portside, the stakes are increasing and hitting too close to home.
Her quest is seriously impinging on her increasingly complicated love life. she must work with her ex, is secretly dating her boss who also happens to be the brother of her partner and oh yeah, Kaleb may also be developing feelings for her and her for him. It’s a complete mess. The characters are all so intriguing and sexy I don’t know who I’m rooting for. I think I’m in the Cole camp but that may change if he doesn’t get his act together.
This is a gripping read and each instalment is better than the last. The characters and setting are richly detailed and complex. This is a book for any fans of urban fantasy who are looking for a new series to get lost in. An added bonus for those who have kindle unlimited each book in the series is available for free.
