Nova Valentine fell in love with Thorne on their first meeting. Not that he ever noticed her. Nova will do whatever her family asks of her and it is no hardship to be the one Thorne has chosen. Chemistry between them is electric.
When old rivalries flare up they must chose family or each other and with an entire country is at stake it’s not an easy decision to make.
This book was a slow burn for me. I initially walked away from it as I could not connect with the story. It is more American mafia than royalty. I returned to it as I felt I had to finish it to give an honest review. I’m glad I did after the first few chapters the story becomes much more interesting and I couldn’t put it down. I loved the main characters and the romance between them was steamy and realistic. I would recommend it. Stick with it as the first few chapters aren’t interesting but it’s worth it.
