Alethea Forsythe has found herself in an unfortunate position. Seduced by a married man she is facing certain ruin if she does not find a man to marry her and give her unborn child a name.
Jack Fitzwilliam, the Earl of Manning is an honourable man. When he finds himself proposed to, he agrees to the terms of the proposal. While he is friendly towards Alethea he is unable to see beyond her resemblance to his sister.
As the two discover more about each other and friendship turns to more, a man from Althea’s past makes an unwelcome return.
Overall a good read although the ending felt a little flat. The characters are engaging and likable and the plot moves at a reasonable pace.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advance copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
