Book 5 of this paranormal mystery series set in the Nocturne Falls Universe. Unlike Nocturne Falls where each book can be read as a standalone, I would recommend reading the books in order to follow the story.
A portal has accidentally opened between Nocturne Falls and the North Pole and Jayne is called in to assist the investigation as the town is completed blanketed in snow.
I don’t want to reveal too much as there would be spoilers for the series as a whole. In this instalment, we see a much more vulnerable Jayne as she battles with guilty feelings. There is also a more romance-centric book than previous as Jayne is now in a committed relationship.
Ms Painter excels in her word building. Her ability to craft mysteries with surprising twists and turns is masterful. If you have not read any of her works your definitely missing out.
